Hendersonville's Most Popular Personalities Come Together Under One Internet Banner
RAPHEAL UNIVERSITY School of Hard Knocks
Nick Rapheal first came to live in Hendersonville in 1953 as a child. During his professional life he has been a preacher, a newspaper editor and publisher, and an advertising executive. He is presently the owner of Digital Designs, creator of All About Hendersonville, and he serves as the minister of the Luna Lane Church of Christ in Hendersonville.

Welcome to Rapheal University School of Hard Knocks. I believe I took every course they offered at Hard Knocks U. I passed some, I failed some and I just got by on some of the classes, but I learned something from every one of those experiences.
In this column, I plan to focus on some of the curriculum I studied at Hard Knocks U, in hopes it will provide a benefit and blessing to your life. Some of my thoughts will provoke laughter while others will draw tears as we navigate toward a more balanced life.
I BET YOU CAN’T STILL
KICK A 40-YARD FIELD GOAL!
I loved to kick footballs as a teenager and eventually became the place kicker for the Hendersonville Commandos in the late 1960’S. A few years ago a co-worker bet me $100 I couldn’t kick a 40 yard field goal, but Gary was wrong and here’s the video to prove it. Thanks for letting me take a walk down Memory Lane.

Can you believe some of the things that happen to us in life? Sometimes, it just doesn’t seem fair, it just doesn’t seem like we deserve what has happened. We’ll talk about this in a future column of Hard Knocks U.
